Please help 2 of my gf died today and I found them sucked to the filter. I now notice that a couple of my gf have what appears to be raised white blotches on their tails and on their bodies. I can't give out any test results because i ran out of strips about a week ago and was never able to get new ones, i can't go to the lfs because it's closed. I have a 55 gallon tank that has been running for about a month. I have an aquaclear 70 and an aquatech 10-20 power filters. I change the water 25-50% a week. I have 11 gf in the tank 3 4-6 inche ones, 2 2 inche ones a 4 inch 1 and 5 1 inch ones. All of them are commons except one 1 inch 1 is a black moor. I only use water conditioner. About a week ago I added quick cure to the tank to cure ick. The tank is very well airated I have 2 12 inch bubble curtains, so the fish have plenty of air. Some of the fish have raised white blotches. No unuasul behavior. Somebody please help and quick. Thank you

Unfortunately it's hard to help without knowing what your water is doing.

Is there any way you can get a pic of the raised area? It could be one of a number of things so a picture would help identify it.

But first things first - water quality. Unfortunately you have way too many fish in that tank so to keep the water healthy, you should really be doing about 60%+ waterchanges twice weekly especially if you have commons in there. Is 11 the total after 2 died? (which i'm sorry about sad.gif ). If so, you have 10 commons (10 x 20 gallons) plus one blackmoor (1 x 10 gallons) in a 55 when for the sake of their health, they should be in 210 gallons... Also, it would help if you can look at investing in more filtation. The 2 you have currently turn over 460 gallons and you want to try and aim for 10 x the filtration (550 gallons per hour) or more for your stocking situation. smile.gif

So if you can, please try and post back some water parameters and a pic and we can take it from there smile.gif

PS. I just wanted to add, commons and fancies shouldn't be together. Commons are much faster and more territorial so try and keep an eye on your moor.
