These two girls will make girl #4 and girl #5.... just 5 more to go! Next weekend my friend is bringing me a 46g for my goldies which leaves me my 29g for a betta sorority! I think Im gonna do like 10 girls and a few cories. What do you think? On that note I have been snatching up girlies left and right and here are my latest two.

Dot - I am pretty sure she is a sister of my late girl, Speck. She is slightly darker than Speck was when I got her, but she looks and acts like she did after she perked up and settled in. Also, she had a spot of ick when I bought her and the lady at the store told me it was just her "coloration" Surprisingly, her "coloration" cleared up with salt So anyway she got her name Dot because her sister(I think) was Speck and because she had a "dot" of ick.




Rose - She was a think about it and go back later buy, but I am so glad I did. She's really cute and when I was on the way home I was listening to Johnny Cash and Give My Love to Rose came on and since she's rose colored it made perfect sense!

Your two new girls are stunning Dot is near enough a twin in coloring to my blue thunder.

Congratulations on your new female bettas! They are both really beautiful, lovely colours and great names too! Dot has lovely vibrant colours and Rose is just stunning - I can see why you went back for her!

A 29 gallon female betta tanks sounds great, I don't know about exact numbers but I know you can have 3-5 in a 10 gallon, so I think 10ish in a 29 gallon tank sounds good.

I remember somebody mentioned stocking odd numbers of female bettas before? I'm not sure what works best, but a 29 gallon would certainly allow plenty of space for each fish to have their own area. There are a few members who have all female betta tanks, I'm sure they will be able to advice you on stocking.

Beautiful girls!! I have a 10 gal with 5 girls. I remember somebody posting having a larger tank with girls, but I can't quite remember. I also think an odd number.
