I have been in the hospital for 7 days and trusted that my family would care for my fish buuuuuut that wasn't the case. All my mother did was feed them and from what it sounds like, she fed too much. When I got discharged last night I was happy until I got home. I found two dead baby bettas in my fry tank, the bowls that hold my males were yellow and smelled nasty + only had about 3 inches of water, the female tank was covered in green algea so bad I could not see anything + the water was down 6 inches, my koi fish outside where dead and my betta fry pool was dark green and the live plants burned from the sun.

I was so tired I couldn't deal with that last night so today I went shopping. Bought tons of meds, some new rocks, and 3 algea eaters for the female tank. I also found some really cool completely submersable spot lights that I HAD to buy for my females. I only got a red one and a white one but now I want to go buy tons more for my bowls and other betta tank. I also found a little male betta for my female veiltail since she seems really lonely and shy lately.

The shark tank got a brand new look. Took hours but I'm sooooooooo happy with it.

This guy is tiny. I wasn't going to get him because he was so small but those white tips won my heart.

These pictures don't do justice to how cool it looks in person.

I like the way I decorated it this time. In real life it makes the tank look longer.

The females haven't messed with the algea eaters but they were fighting over the lights earlier. Now they seem fine.

I don't leave the spot lights on when I have the normal light on. I just left them on in the pictures because I just had the normal light on for a second to take a few pictures of the new layout.

I'm sorry you lost some of your fish Sushi sad.gif That is sad to hear, especially after all your hard work

I'm glad you got everything looking great again though - your tanks look lovely.

Congratulations on your new Betta - he is beautiful! I love red Bettas and those blue/white lines look fabulous. My Betta George has some of those, but no where near as vivid as that. He is lovely, any ideas for his name yet?

Hope you're feeling better now smile.gif

Sushi, what a terrible state of affairs to come home to, I'm sorry about the fish you lost but you dealt with it in a positive way and your tanks look fantastic.

Fishmerised- Thanks. Your comment made me feel really good.

mrbumblebee- I'm not even a fan of red(but for some reason I have a whole bunch of them rofl3.gif ) but he reminded me of my red HMDT butterfly and the purple on him reminded me of my pastel cambo CT male. I haven't even named my other bettas. I'm so horrible with names. It takes me months to think of the perfect name.
