I just went today to feed my little friends in my pond and almost all my lotus plant was eaten !! :angry: I have 3 7 inches butterflys koi 2 pairs of oranda some comets , 3 snails and a turtle "little one" I want to know who could eat my $45 plant to take it apart please help with this one??

Except for the turtle and the snails, everybody else could be a suspect in the lotus eating case.....
I never bothered putting anything lilie or lotus like into my pond again, after my koi and goldies munched everything down to shreds. Its just no use. I rather have the plants in a separate rubbermaid container, and they actually grow without any fish thinking its salad!

I'll bet it was the koi
they always dig up all the water plants
eating roots and all! :angry:

It could be any of your critters eating the plants. I've had problems with stray turtles getting into my pond and eating my plants. My Koi and snails eat everything in sight.

I'll did the same thing just bought a rubbermaid and put my plant on it but I didn't buy the plant to be alone so I don't know what to do??? x
