I happened upon the idea of redecorating my tank and decided I wanted a plant.
So I went and picked the prettiest one. However the person who assisted my purchase and I have no idea what kind it is.

It looks like a Crimson Ivy (Hemigraphis colorata). This is not an aquatic plant. However, it may survive up to a year in submersed conditions.

Yes, this plant is called the Crimson Ivy (Hemigraphis colorata). Its not a truely aquatic plant but this plant is tough and adaptable and will survive for up to a year submerged. The maximum height is around 20cm (8inchs). Its usually places in the Foreground and Midground of the aquarium. It requires high lighting, recommended atleast 3wpg (watts per gallon) for it to grow well and survive. They will only survive in water tempretures of 22-28*C.
