Ok, these are not the greatest photos, but when I arrived home today I found this.


Two new blooms on the Blue Pickerel Rush (the purple flowers), and the Orange Peel Plant just exploded in a whole riot of white flowers.


I've been really busy the past couple weeks, and just taking enough time to go out and dump a few little scoops of food in the pond morning and night. I never really paid attention to the plants.

Yesterday and today were both crazy days - especially at work. So I got out of my car when I arrived home and took a deep breath and told myself to relax.

Sometimes I stop to look at my pond from outside the patio to see what the neighbors see and hear - so I did that tonight. The first pic is what my neighbor's see when they walk by.

How nice to hear the music of the running water and see the plants had put together their biggest bloom of the summer yet. Everything seems just a bit more relaxed now.

Wow, those plants sure took off!! Can't see anything else anymore, no filter, nothing. Looks cool! I bet the fish love it too.

Too much shade however might hinder the lily to bloom. Have you seen any flowers on it lately?

Relaxing to the sound of gurgling water is the best. There is nothing else I'd rather do than sit outside and just enjoy myself. Of course, can't be too close to the barrel, otherwise the fish think they'll being fed, and get all begging...
