Hello everybody
I have 3 zebra danios, 3 long-finned bue danios, and 6 harlequin rasboras in a 37 gallon tank. Two of the zebra danios are always hiding in this coliseum and miss out on the food all the time...they have been hiding for a couple weeks now. I can't tell if they're getting any food...they are the smallest of the fishes in there. It's really frustrating to see that they're not eating. Is there something wrong with them? All the fish look nice and healthy including those 2 little guys.
Thanx

more fish of the same kind would probably help the third one os probably picking on the other two b/c you have so few of them

im sure that they must be getting some food. why dont you try adding a planted are in your tank? that would give them a bit more shelter

i have had danios in the past which can be quite shy. I would also suggest maybe adding a few more danios to the tank, they seem to do better in bigger groups

My tank has some plastic plants that they like to swim around it also...I'm thinking of maybe adding 3 more zebra's. Thanx for the advice.

Poor little danios. Are those two being harrassed at all?

Sometimes the long-finned blue danios chase them around a bit...but they look fine, nice color & no nipped fins.

You might have too much open swimming area. Try a few more tall plants and getting another 6 danios so any dominance is spread among them. As with all small fish the more you can keep together then the less you will have any arguing.
