I just brought home a few comets that were in need of rescuing. I have TONS of food...but unfortunately my Omega One Goldfish pellets are over a year old. I've also got Omega One Tropical flakes, FD plankton, FD bloodworms, FD daphnia, algae wafers, frog pellets, assorted veggies etc etc. The teacher at my school was feeding Wardley's Goldfish food so I brought that home. What should I feed them? I plan on probably getting some more Omega One Goldfish pellets, but it may be a while.

Personally, I would give them a variety of the food that you have on hand. If they are fish that need TLC, tropical flakes will give them a bit of a boost, so feeding that the odd time will be fine. What is the content of frog pellets?

I just checked, and the frog pellets are yuck. The first three ingredients are fish meal, wheat flour, and corn gluten meal. They came with the ACFs I took in several months ago, but I didn't even feed them that food. They got plankton instead lol. I've also got Hikari betta pellets, and Jungle antiparasite food. These guys seem to be doing pretty well (ironically) and I don't suspect parasites or other illnesses at this point.

Where did you get the little guys? Please tell me a little about them, if you don't mind
In a couple of my larger goldfish tanks, I have white clouds and zebra danios, and I feed them a bit of flake food, both goldfish and tropical. I even give them a few betta bites now and then. You can bet that my hungry goldfish get some of these foods, as well, and everyone has done great

Thanks Touchofsky. I brought home the three babies because they were an experiment at school in the bio class (again) I think they've lived most of their life in the bowl and I'm afraid they are stunted...but hopefully not. Here's theire thread:

Ewwww Wardley's STINKS! I opened up the container and peee-eww it smells aweful. I've come to love the way Omega One products smell.

I don't have a can of Wardley's flakes to compare with Omega One. I just finished a can of Omega One flakes, so I am stopping today to pick up another one. I have some babies in my pond that are too small for pellets
I read the thread about your rescue. Congratulations and job well done
