ilovefish
ok thanks i think about getting that

Like small_ranchu says, the only sinking kind I know of made by Hikari, is Hikari Lionhead.

Of course, all of them them will sink if you pre-soak them and some people (me included) even recommend pre-soaking the sinking pellets before feeding to goldfish.

Sinking pellets are very tightly compacted to remove as much residue air as possible in order that that they sink, but because of that they can also be quite hard to eat. They do soften quite quickly, but the goldies often get to it quicker!

So, you can feed Hikari Lionhead sinking pellets straight from the packet, but with some goldies it can still be best to pre-soak slightly anyway in order to make them softer, more easily digestable and to prevent swimbladder and constipation problems. Just my opinion. I use Hikari Lionhead and I think it a high quality food, although certainly not the cheapest. Hope this helps a bit smile.gif

Looks like a very interesting new food, worth a try maybe if you can get hold of it. I doubt I'll be see that in the UK for a while though, is it much more expensive than the other Hikari goldfish pellets? smile.gif

Have you thought of trying Omega One sinking pellets? They are high quality. Most pellets , including hikori first indgredients are flour , fish meal , corn etc. The Omega One main ingredient is salmon and seafood. Higher protein food. Actually one the members on here recommended them awile back and I am sold on them
ilovefish
thanks everyone i soak the sinking pellets i have now too but i wanted sinking ones b/c they dont have to soak as long.i havnt seen the new kind in my stores yet but ill look for it.ill think about the omega one too
mrbumblebee
That is one of the reasons I like sinking pellets too, because they take no time at all to pre-soak and don't go all mushy smile.gif

I don't know where in the country you live but I could only find the omega one ones at petsmart.

I'm not sure how readily available Hikari products are in the US, but I always thought they were fairly easy to find over there. I'm not sure about this new one though, you may have to shop around for it or try an online store to get hold of it. Hopefully you'll find it.

Dut to export/import problems, Hikari products can be hard to get hold of in the UK, but I think my LFS has this new Saki-Hikari Fancy Goldfish food, I might get a small pack to try out too smile.gif
