How to some of you drain and refill your tanks if you have multiple tanks throughout the house?

I'm afraid I run back and forth with buckets.Maybe one day I will get a python and that will be the end of trailing buckets of water through the house.

With four tanks and a new one on the way, it has to be the python. Best money I ever spent. I do water changes in no time!!

When I am setting up a new tank, one of the things I do is "calibrate" it. I put small Sharpie marks on the least visible side at 10%, 25%, 30%, and 50%.
When I'm ready to do a water change, I get out a trusty MaxiJet 1200 hooked up to 30 feet of 5/8 " hose, and pump until I hit whichever mark I'm going for. My replacement water will have been buffering, heating, and oxygenating in a 30 gal Rubbermaid Brute long enough by then, so I turn the pump the other way, and, pretty soon, done!
