I trimmed the Orange Peel Plant way back about 5 weeks ago. Put some fertilizer tabs in the pots - and they exploded.

It's been sunny and real hot here too - so they decided to bloom again.

I took some pics of the fish too - they are over in the GF fish forum.

Here's one pic of the half barrel, and six closer up of plants, blooms and such.

Living in England, so close to Ireland, you would know green. smile.gif

Yes very nice looking pond. Your lucky to live in So Cal as well since you can leave that out all year round and enjoy. I am thinking of putting a barrel pond together here next to my front door, but it'll have to wait now until next year since winter isn't far away here. I hate winter.

Thanks for sharing wonderful pics of your barrel pond daniel. This is weird but can anyone else see the face of a cockerspaniel (or dog with soft long ears) in the bubbles looking to the right in picture# 5?
Erika
Trinket, I've tried and tried, and I can't see it, LOL!!!

Awesome pic D, I'm jealous of all your plants, they're so happy. How long did it take for your lizard's tail to bloom? I got mine in May or June and it hasn't yet. I started giving it fertilizer tabs a couple weeks ago, and it has since sent up 3 more plants, but no flowers yet!

Yargh!

I can't see the cocker spaniel. Where is it? Can you save the pic and draw on it with a program? I'm so curious.

To what plant are you referring as "lizard's tail." I only know the names "orange peel plant" and "blue pickerel rush." You mean the one with heart shaped leaves and white flowers?
Erika
Yeah! It looks like a lizard's tail to me! blink.gif laugh.gif

It's bloomed twice this summer. First time during an early long hot spell.

Then it was looking stragly so I cut it way back so it would branch and fill in. Next time a hot spell came along (last week) it bloomed again.

I stick a couple fertilizer tabs in the pot about once a month in the summer.

I must be going loopy. I can see it so clearly. Oh yikes how can I show you..mmm..I'll try and save the pic and go to adobe and drawa circle round it or something but Im useless at this kind of stuff...I will try. Clear as day to me krazy.gif Thanks for taking a look tho Erika!!

I thought it was facing to the right though? blink.gif
Trinket
It is laugh.gif
Now if your dog could turn his head and match the pose, all would be clear... I love black labs -heartpump.gif and sorry to have added nonsense to your thread daniel hide.gif
BeancurdTurtle
I'm much more curious about the dog face, then concerned about "nonsense" in the thread.

Someone PLEASE draw it.

haha!
Erika
Yeah!! I wanna see it too!
Trinket

Well you'll have to ask OH or some edit-whiz to do that as I tried (and tried) but the little red line was all over the place squiggling away without me..I'll have another go...(she says pessimistically)..The dogs long shaggy right ear is all the bubbles, folding around the head. the head is looking right for sure and the eye is the sad black spot you can see in the middle. The snout is farthest right- another dark splotch. He is swimming smile.gif Turn your dogs head to the right and the profile shape you see is what I can see there... biggrin.gif
Erika
I SEE IT!!!! Once you described it that way, I instantly saw it. Funny how the brain works, eh? smile.gif
Trinket
OH FANTASTIC!!That's great Erika!! biggrin.gif I was starting to think I was dreaming it. Now for daniel.....
