After reading a couple of posts about different foods to feed to goldfish, I decided to try dandelion leaves since I have alot growing in my yard. I picked them from my front yard since it's been over a year since any chemicals or fertilizers were used there. I rinsed them off and I did not boil them because they seemed quite tender. I then used a veggie clip to hold a small bunch in the tank. Did I do it right or should I have cooked them in any way?
My two orandas didn't touch them but my comets and commons loved them. They stripped them down to the vein in the middle of the leaves.

That's how I would feed them. Maybe your fancies will catch on later. Also try the flowers, they may like those too. Just be sure to rinse those very very well since there are often little tiny yellow bugs in them. Dandylions are good for you too!

I didn't see any flowers, just the leaves, so I'll have to remember that next time I see some. It's good that I have essentialy a goldie dandelion salad bar in my front yard so I don't have to worry about buying a bunch of greens at the store and having them go bad before I can use them all.
