Hi, I was just wondering how many guppies could be put in a 10 gallon tank, and what can be mixed with them?

If you want neon tetras to go in with them, you have to build the number of guppies around the school of tetras. Keep about 7 neons so they feel safe and they shouldn't nip the tails of the guppies. That leaves you with some space, so you can have maybe 3 or 4 guppies of the same sex. If you want to have more guppies, choose a small, peaceful non-schooling fish to join the instead of the tetras.

kissy is right - you would have to work around the tetras.. also, make sure that you only buy either all ale or all female guppies, as they breed like wildfire, and also seem to survive very well growing up in a communtiy tank if you wanted more guppies, i would suggest you go for a couple of coriesor maybe a tropical loach or two instead.
