Thanks for all the compliments! I definitely keep an eye out for the less commonly colored bettas, but usually they just end up turning blue or red on me anyway

Not that there's anything wrong with that because I love them all the same, but my husband keeps teasing me telling me that acorn is going to be blue one day when I go in to feed him. My naming scheme is pretty much all over the place. He just looked like he should be called Acorn like my last girl that I bought looked like she should be called Bettie Sue.
Ok here's the update on how he's doing: He ate right away which surprised me since usually it takes some coaxing. When I first got him he started to mope around, but I moved Bettie Sue's tank over next to him and that perked him right up. Now he's built her several bubble nests and is always showing off to her. She's such a diva though that she just eats the attention right up.
