At what point do we stop feeding the babies 3-4 times a day? Our babies they are 11 weeks old now.
I've had quite a few die lately. I'm thinking maybe I'm feeding them too much. I feed the parents once in the morning, and once in the evening. I'm thinking maybe I should put the babies on the same schedule.

Any advice?

Thanks
Tom

hi, according to goldfishinfo.com, you feed them 3 times a day for the first 4 weeks, and then 2 times a day up to 4 months. My baby goldies are now roughly 13 or so weeks old and i still feed them 3 times a day.

Thanks,

Twice a day it is from here on out. I kinda felt like I was over doing it.

You might not have overdone it with the feeding at all, but what could have happened is that with the growing of your fry, the water changes, and maybe their housing size, would need an updating. The more the fry, or the adults for that matter, grow, the more waste they excrete, and the more I upt my water changes, and try to separate them into bigger housings.
You got any pictures of your fry by any chance? Not only do we always love pictures around here, you'll also earn a breeder medal with a picture. thumbs.gif
