Hi!

I bought some Pro Gold and got it today. I was wondering how you know how much to feed. I have two orandas. They are about 2 1/2 inches long (not including their tail). Any suggestions?

I feed mine as much as they can eat in about a minute. Everyone does it differently though.

I drop in a teaspoon full and they vacumn it up in about 10 seconds. Then I drop in another teaspoon full, and watch. When they stop vacumning it up in about 10 seconds flat, they are done......

I was wondering if anyone had feeding reccommendations for Pro Gold pellets. I have two orandas that are about 2 1/2 inches (not including fins).

I would recomend pro-gold only when your fish has a constant case of swim bladder problems, for those fishes that do not have SBD commonly I recomend omega one or something you can obtain more conveniently depending on where you live.

never thought of that.... nice idea lol I usually need to do this in random pinch amount numbers which takes too long.

I feed Pro Gold exclusively. I give my 5 inch oranda about 5 pellets 3 times a day. If I am going to give him peas or zuchinni, I just skip one feeding of pellets. I love the Pro Gold! I have never had any health problems with my fish, ever. That speaks volumes to me on the quality of the food.

Thank you for the info. Sorry I asked twice, I could not find my orginal question when I came back to see responces. Pro Gold sounds like a great food and I am excited to start feeding it. Pellets seem to be a better, more reliable way to feed. If I fed 5-6 pellets to my two orandas twice a day, does that seem like good amount?

I have used Pro-Gold for a couple of years now.The only complaint that I have about it,is that all my fish,from Bristlenoses to Cories to Goldfish-heck even my ADF's have been seen eating it(No,I do not keep all those together) ,so I go through Pro-Gold faster than you can blink an eye. If my fish continue to grow like they are,I may need to get a second job.
