will the fry grown up to have wen? mix color ?(wont have pure white Orandas' body?)

or with wen and a longer body? dry.gif

Oranda isn't just white. They come in all sorts of colours just like other goldfish.

Fantail x oranda will probably produce fish with wen, without wen, and anywhere in between. Not necessarily longer bodies cos fantail's body and oranda's body is similar, so it depends on the parents

Well, I can give two examples of that combo! I have Four young Fantail/oranda cross. 3 are Chocolate & 1 is Red Speckled! So far I do not see a wen......although on the pictured Chocolate I seem to see SOMETHING going on up there!! laugh.gif

Jeana727, your fish are adorable. So far my goldfish fry are 3 months old. Their dad is my white fantail and their mom is my orange oranda. I hope some of them get wen growth. So far 3 look like my oranda w/o the wen. smile.gif

Karla, so far mine tend to look more like fat Fantails! I'd like to see what yours look like. smile.gif

hi, i posted a video of them in the 12 week old thread of this section. They are a little bigger now. I have a really fat one that looks like my oranda, I also have a few small ones with an orange head and white body smile.gif . Most are still a little black.

I think most of them are about an inch right now.
