OK here it is, I've just come back off a 2 week holiday and I've just relised that my 4 neon tetras are about 5 years old going on 6 (you can tell as well)and, i've got some harliqwins (sorry about the spelling lol) and they are about 4 years old now, so the question is how long do tetras live for anybody know thier life expt?

I think about 5 or 6 is average though ive heard 12 as well for some tetras. Well done for having them so long though.

thanks sandy 12 years thats good for a gf yeah thier old but saying that there was 15 of them to start with, but the 4 that remain seem happy enough swiming about with my oher tetras. I am thinking of restocking seen some lovely angel fish in my local fs but i might just get another 5 or so neons to go with them.

hehe, i thought mine were old, and theyre only 2!
