Well I guess it was a horrible idea Leaving the rubbermaid outside in the winter. I think it might have cracked or something . .. Anyways Its leaking and i don't have a clue what im going to do. I just filled it up last night
and this morning its already down to half way... I should probably get a new one( ) . But for now what Can i do? The rubbermaid is also bowing which sucks, so i think I should go get myself a new one.
Is there such a Rubbermaid that won't bow that i can get at any local Homedepot , and thats safe enough to put in the house for the winter?And that could also fit a normal Tank filter on it?

My Rubbermaid is the heavy duty one, 32 gallons, and it is bowing pretty badly. I don't have it filled up all the way and also have bungee cords across it to prevent anymore bowing. I've had it up since about April I think and havent had any problems.

I think the edges are thin enough that you could put a regular HOB filter on it. I have an old Fluval on it though and that has been working for me.

What size rubbermaid was it again, Alex? I'd definetely get a new one, and maybe put some 2x4's of wood into the ground where the sides are bowing out to support the weak sides of the rubbermaid. A pretty plant infront of it, and nobody will notice.
Unless of course the rubbermaid is inside, then your mom will have my head for suggesting putting holes in the ground for the wood...

alex was your rubbermaid full of water over the winter when you think it got damaged? the reason i'm asking is i have two for quarantine tanks and am intending to use them as water butts the rest of the time, but if it's likely they might damage with freezing water perhaps it isn't such a good idea!

Thanks for the comments. The Tub was not full of water. Let me remind you I live all the way up in Canada Quebec it can get down to -40's Which is really cold

Hahaha Thats what im doing right now with the nasty bow, Im covering it with 2 plants so that it doesn't show as much.Sadly I can't make any holes, id have a pond if I was aloud to make any holes in the ground by now

Its around 40 gallons if im not mistaken (aprox. 18 inchesx38 inches )
Im not sure on the type it just Says RUBBERMAID on it.I got it at wallmart.
