Ok, so I emptied out my old 5 gallon Larry was in. (I am going to put 3 guppies in it in the babies room) I put the cyphen over the rail of the deckwent in the house for 10 minutes, and darn it if Bruce (our rott mix) did not make an evening snack out of it. Now I can't do my water change for Larry in his new tank.

Any suggestions? I am going to get a new one tomorrow, but the schedule was to do a water change tonight - or part of one, as he is in a new tank. Do you think if I scoop it out it will be ok? I just did not do it last night because I am doing 25% every other day till the tank cycles. HELP!

Oh yeah, to boot this week I ran out of my chemicals for my test kit. I can't stand it anymore. This week has been so hard for me - between work, running out of test chemicals and now Bruce ate my cyphen.

I can't believe this week -

Any input would be welcome. Larry has been haging out in one spot most of today - sort of worried about and really wanted to do this water change -

I hope your dog's digestion is just fine!

Whereas it is always better to vacumn the gravel (if you have gravel in the tank) when you do a water change, just removeing the old water and replacing it with new gravel is a HUGE improvement for Larry. Get your self a quart container from your last Chinese takeout and scoop away! Larry will love you for it. Squeeze out the filter sponges or rinse out the cartridges in the used water - by removing the waste from them, you will remove a lot of the source of ammonia/nitrite/nitrate.

Scoop scoop scoop.

And tell Bruce to stick to chew bones!!!!

Your day will now get better. I have so decreed.

I have scooped to litter pans so what is a 10 gallon tank right?

I should have known better then to leave it there, but I thought I would be ok as they (Twitch and Bruce) were busy chasing squirrels. Oh well, that was a small cyphen for a 5 or 10 gallon - Guess Bruce wanted me to buy a new one.

Oh yeah, he has as stomach of steel - he ate the power cord off my heater for the other 10 gallon I have. I got to clean that one out for a 'sick' tank - and quarantine tank for new fish.

I keep creating things to do...

Thanks for issuing the decree of a better day - smile.gif

I am sure tomorrow will be great! It has to be, it is Saturday - banana.gif
