Whats the difference? (ive never seen brine shrimp before). Are krill good for goldfish? They seem kind of hard to me.
mrbumblebee
As far as I know they are both "shrimp-like" crustaceans. Brineshrimp are teeny weeny, whereas Krill are much larger. Most types and sizes of fish will eat Brineshrimp, whereas Krill is generally most suitable for larger fish. Goldfish love Brineshrimp and they will also eat Krill broken into smaller pieces. Freeze dried Krill is better off pre-soaked before feeding it because as you say it is quite hard smile.gif

O ok ic. Thanks for telling me. Are they good for growing wens?
mrbumblebee
All "live" foods are high in protein which is a nutrutionally essential element for wen growth, along with many other factors. Lots of people say Bloodworms are particularly good for wen growth. I think the most important thing for all healthy fish growth, in terms of nutrition, is a high quality varied diet smile.gif

Mrbumblebee is correct. . Protein rich foods such as krill and frozen brine shrimp and frozen blood worms will help the wen grow but it is important for your goldies to get a varieda and balanced diet. Mine loved frozen brine shrimp and fozen bloodworms. However even though I broke it up they did not like krill . Good luck
