Hi everyone I have just convinced my dad to by me another 20 GAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! as with all of your help i told my dad to read this Forum he said he never knew how kids could get him to say yes!!!!!!! oh i have sisters ....Thanx Sooo much guys I have chosen
to keep pepper/ which i found out is a girl and goldie/ which Consider to be a boy inThe same tank since i already put the meds in... I am still going to keep the Weather loach in with them

My new tank is going to contain more fish if possible... as i said i am getting a free tank for my B-day From my uncle todd.. I think the only reason my dad is redoing the basment .. just cleaning up a bit.lolololol is so we can fit more tankslolololoh and do you think i will need a heater for the winter .. no windows

Having more than two goldies and a weather loach inthe 20G will be overstocking, so stick with that and it should be ok.

I know that will be enough.. But i am talkingabout after i put my golsies and eel in my 30 gal .. i will have a 20 GAl free i would like to have some plecos and loaches ... look on my other forum or just post here.. By the way do pleco's and loaches get along cause i have a weather loach .. he will stay in 30gal with it;s mates

Oh right, I didnt realise you'd have a spare tank.

mmm, I dont think I would put weather loaches with plecs.. because they are slower and I would imagine the loaches would harrass the plec a bit too much. But I dont have experience with that. Personally after having weather loaches with my goldfish I think they are suited to species only tanks, they are just too active and nibbly for slow fancy goldfish. One of mine has even taken a chunk out of a zebra danio before (a very fast little fish).

I've replied in your other thread about the loaches and bristlenose.

I've never had loaches but I have a couple of bristlenose plecos and cory cats together in a community tank. They get along fine and cory cats are adorable, they have so much personality - they make up for the plecos who are a bit shy.

If you do Pleco's,make sure that you do a bit of research.They come in all different sizes,and types. Pleco's are a very terretorial fish,and are better left at one, unless you are getting a much bigger tank.If you plan on adding Goldies,then it really limits your choices. Weather Loaches don't like to be alone.You need to have at least two in the tank to keep them happy.Filtration is a key here,along with tank maintainance any time that you go over the recommended stocking level.I would also take time to read about that.The more you read,the more knowledge is on your side-which helps to limit failures with new tanks & fish.
Be very careful medicating a tank with Loaches in it for they are very sensitive to alot of the Meds.

So, you have a 10 gl, 20 gl, and a 30 gl tank, yes? Plus a few 5 gl tanks?
Before thinking about any new fish, I'd divide your goldfish so everybody has enough space. 4 goldfish and the eel you got, correct? So, two goldfish go into the 20 gl, the other 2 and the eel into the 30 gl. And keep the 10 gl for hospital tank purposes. Or put the eel by himself into the 10 gl.

What i was going to do my new 30 gal is almost ready Pepper and goldie seem to be fine in the 20 gal they seem much happier 2 min ago i put mucho and Jack in the 30 they Love it Right now my loach is in a 10 so i can introduce slowly.. But now what can i pu in my 10 gal .... lo.olool the love of fish i think i am going to buy some dojo fish,,, what do you guys think ... of course babbies then once alll of my fish grow where they are i want to buy a pond ... wow too much money....lololol any way i will just keep sizeing up until i get an indoor pond you know if they make them ???????????

But isn't one of your fish sick, Orandalover? Popeye and dropsy? I'd put HIM into that empty 10 gl tank and treat him there.

I put in the Disease and Health or w/ e That pepper is doing a lot better today She is eating and A LOTlololol She i s swimming like her other mate and the purple protruding eyes are less i think the meds we eree told to give him just took a little longer since he was soooo bad
