He really appears to have grown in such a short time. What gorgeous colours he has. I'm surprised you were able to hold him in your hand. The ones I've seen at the lfs seem rather excitable or aggressive.

not really surprising... those fish had been bred to grow quickly, is all... although some varieties (like the ones hybridized with Texas Cichlids or Blood Parrots) grow more slowly.

Now, that is a beautiful fish!! A friend of mine keeps the flowerhorns with the gigantic heads, and I always hate it the way that big head makes them look. This one is stunning, and those COLORS!!
