i have a few pet piranhas which i have to feed, and as i was browsing the new lot of feeders i noticed this weird pinky white goldfish with oranges spots that looked reaaally weird. i scooped him out and put him in a jar and realized that his pupils are really tiny. i was trying to read up about it on websites and the only thing i could find was that fish pupils never change size. ohmy.gif
does anyone know why he's like this??
ill try get a good picture

as we can see, once again the creepy little fish wont hold still while phillip poser...rolleyes.gif

Edited out last part - especially for young eyes. smile.gif

He may be poorly sighted due to a general lack of care or even genetics. Feeders aren't treated too well in the fish kingdom and maybe it's a blessing in disguise - he won't see what's coming after him smile.gif

i finally got a good one...

but, i think he can see just as well as my other one, thats why he was avoiding the camera soo much. he kept swimming away whenever i got close enough to him. hes really skittish too.

Ummm. . . this site is swarming with Goldfish Lovers that bend over backwards trying to keep their goldfish healthy and happy. Our goldfish have names and we recognize their individual personalities. It may not be the best place to put a story about a sweet unique goldfish that is going to suffer a horrible death as a food source for your other fish! It makes me very sad because I can now visualize his violent end. sad.gif

This also upset me a little. Kind of tastless to post something like that here especially if youre just feeding it to your pirahnas anyways. dry.gif

I'm also feeling a little un-easy about this thread, I know that other fish have to eat...etc etc....Food chain..Yadda Yadda..

However what Erin and Heather have said is true. wink.gif

This is one of those threads that has the great potential to get out of hand and ugly, And FAST! Please be careful when posting about question's like this one, I'm sure there is a message board that would better suite this type of question.

A lot of people on this board are very passionate about their fish. I hope you can respect that. exactly.gif
