Been thinking about starting to give my fish vitamins once a week as I have been reading up on the benefits of feeding them.I'm considering using the sera fishtamin vitamins as its in a liquid form. They also do sera activant which is in tablet form not to keen on that one due to waste it may cause.
According to literature I have read they are particulary good for goldies due to consuming a lot of energy. It also said goldfish should regularly receive vitamins.
What does everyone think of this. Are they necessary when you feed a quality balanced diet?

I've never actually fed additional vitamin supplements to my fish, however most good quality fish foods are nutritionally balanced and include added vitamins to a level determined by the manufacturers already smile.gif

Personally I only use Vits in my Gel food that way they get it in there system just like people....Try to absorb them threw the skin is just silly.....

The tablet form is hand fed Koko.My prob with that would be Piranha my dojo loach is greedy and would snatch most of it out my hand before the goldies got any.

then break it in two and place the 2 pieces in the tank biggrin.gif

Mine too, he eats my fingers, its horrible..

I cant remember offhand but there are some vitamins you can have too much of, if any of those are in the bottles, i wouldnt do it, it would be so easy to get the doses wrong with the liquid one. The tablets sound good though smile.gif
