Can you feed your goldfish earthworms out of the ground?? dry.gif
like a treat
Ranchugirl
You sure can, as long as you haven't either used bleach to get them out of the ground, or have applied any kind of fertilizer.
I got a batch of earthworms from the bait/takle store, and have grown my own culture in a 10 gl tank, with soil, leaves and food scrapes on top. At first I hated cutting apart those wiggly things, but I have gotten used to it. smile.gif

hi

im new.

bye.

Ummmm, yeah, you obviously haven't read the rules. Its great that you joined the site but it is against the rules to post just to post, especially if it has nothing what-so-ever to do with the topic. I highly suggest you read thisand this. Or at the very least give them a quick once over wink.gif

sure you can give them the earth worms , my goldies looove it and it promotes spawning all the time, i get mine earthworms from my garden, but there is a general rule to remember, if u want to give ur fish a new food its better to let them be hungry and i mean HUNGRY before u giv'em the new food.

If the fish dosn't eat it at first,
thats the only time when you need to skip a day to entice them to eat.
At least I've found.

I gave my shubinkin an earthworm, he loved it, wasnt sure if had to be dead or alive, but gave it alive and watched him poke and run off, it was too funny. I think he got a bit as he was chewing, in the morning the worm was gone. Is it better for it to be dead or alive, whole or chopped up ( which i think ewwww can i even do that ? Could the worm hurt the little fish whos just abuot an inch long? I watched them closely last time.
