my grandfather has been feeding it cockroaches and worms for the past 10 years. it has been refusing to eat arrowana pellets! i was wondering if any of you know whether anyone knows how to make it eat pellets.

I don't know how to make it eat pellets but like any other fish that enjoys live food why eat pellets when it can get the real stuff.

Ive not heard of arrowanas taking pellets as they prefer live food. Maybe give it some crickets.

Yep, if it's only eaten live food for 10 years he's sure not going to like pellets. Why can't you continue with the dried? Throw in some chunky frozen food like krill and see if he will eat that, at least to give him some variety.

And yes, they absolutely love crickets!

i was told they were illegal in the us so i ahvnt hearn any hting about them until recently. and how big of a tank does your grandpa have because some arrowanas can get up to 3 ft in length but maybe he has a smaller one
