Will the aquarium salt that i add to my tank kill my plants in it??? Im addiing salt cuz my fish got ick... sad.gif

I could be totally wrong on this, but I am going to say no it won't kill them. The reason I say this is because I have live plants and I have aquarium salt in my tank, so far the only thing that has killed any of my plants were the goldies biggrin.gif

There could be certain types of plants that are sensitive to salt, I really don't know a whole lot about aquarium plants.

What types of plants do you have? Mine are arrowhead and amazon sword, salt did not kill them.

salting over .05% will kill a lot of types of plants, however some are much more hardy, java fern is actually a brackish plant and should do fine, and hornwort will generally do fine in up to .5% smile.gif

i have java fern, java moss,corkscrew vallisneria, and some other plant dat i dont no da name of...

corkscrew vallisneria are alittle more sentive to salt....just to let you know biggrin.gif
