Hi there,im my tank of badly sighted fish(a bubble eye,1 celestial and a black moor)i had a gentle undergravel filter-they seemed very happy even tho the water test results were never very good,so i have upgraded and bought them a fluval filter, but it seems to be dragging them all over the tank, they can hardly rest and now im wondering should i switch back to the gentle but not as efficaint undergravel air pump? the filter is just the right size reccomeneded for the tank, its not too powerful..i hate to see them being swished around in the current..help please someone??is that ok for them?♥

Do you have any plants or other decor in the tank? Strategically placed plants can do wonders to break up outflow from a filter and slow down the current in the tank.

Another possibility: does the filter have any kind of outflow control? Maybe you could decrease the outflow and gradually increase it as they get more used to the stronger current?

Im not sure but maybe you can get a spray bar fitting for it. These lessen the current but if you cant get one then placing a tall ornament in front will help.
