Thanks Jen. I'm still learning a lot about fish and aquariums and I certainly don't want to kill anything.

I have spent a lot of time reading through all the threads and making notes on what I need to do. I had no idea that you need to check the water, or soak the dry food first, etc. This really is a lot of fun! My daughter already wants a tank in her room too. We may become addicted to fish.

I realised I was addicted when I looked around my house and noticed every spare wall was taken up with a tank - and also when the amount of time needed for waterchanges increased from 1 hour to 1 day

YOu know you are truly addicted when you start calculating out what percentage of your salary you spend on the fish! You know you are truly addicted when you manage your vacations around the times when a fish person is available to care for your finny friends. You know you are truly addicted when you have a full closet with nothing but fish equipment, toys, foods, medications, etc. "just in case". Or, in my case, you know you are truly addicted when you climb head first into a filthy dumpster in your good dress to rescue a little fish in a plastic bag!
Welcome to our wonderful addiction!

We are supposed to go away for a few days in the fall and I'm already trying to recruit somebody to feed them. I'm looking around the house to see what I can sell so I can get more aquarium stuff. I'm looking over every inch of the house to see where I squeeze in another tank.
Yep, I would say I'm getting there.......
