I have a topfin 20 gallon long tank that is open on top . I was wanting to find a hood with a light for it. Do you know where I can find one? It is 30 inches long

BigAls.com has some of the best prices on the internet. I have ordered lights and glass tops for several tanks and have been very pleased.

You can also try www.drsfostersmith.com
I get all my equipment there. I just ordered a flourescent light strip and hood for my 5 1/2 gallon and one for a 10 gallon.

I got a hood for my 20 long from petsmart. I printed the price from their website and brought it in so I didn't have to pay for shipping.

Thanks Everyone. I got my tank at petsmart, but it seems the two stores by me just sell the lights not the hood light combo

Well - still having some minor problems with my new setup, but I'd really, really like to send you mine! Can you message me separately, perhaps, to talk about it? I have no takers up here yet.

I would love to have it. But didn't you say you were way far away from me? Live in St.Louis

Yes - I'm in New York State. But I can try to pack the thing up safely and see how much it would cost to mail it. Although I was considering selling it, I'm not impoverished and would be okay if you were willing to just pay the price of shipping. I would insure it for you - and that would be free.
It's a pretty good hood (the light is not perfect, but at least one bulb works consistently) and not a bad filter for a 20 long. Not really powerful enough for a bigger tank, IMHO, but these are nice lookiing systems and very easy to maintain. So - let me know what you think. I may not be able to get to the P.O. until Saturday, unfortunately, but I will try to get it packed up by then.

That sounds great. I would pay the shipping. Does the filter detach , because I do not want to give up my top fin 40 which moves 200 gph. It is a pretty good filter and would not want to give it up. Thanks for thinking of me.

When you say - does the filter detatch - that's a tough question to answer! These are all-in-ones, with allt he pluses and minuses that involves; you *can* take out the filter, but you are left with the slot it fits in, and it's pretty hard to get another hob filter in there. It's hard to describe - will try to attach some more detailed pictures tonight.
I could not use the second filter my vet gave me with this one running. You *can* use a canister or an air filter in addition to the eclipse, but I'm not at all sure you could use another hob. Will post the pics for you tonight. HTH!

I do understand - was hoping I might get this to you, as I'm sure you'd give it a good home, but I'm not sure it will work for you. Anyway, here's the pic:
Note - I am not being allowed to attach the pic, even though I have made it less than 40 kb. I don't get it!
Guess it's just not meant to be.

Is there a way that you can have your Petsmart order some? I'm sure other people besides you would buy them if they had them.
