I have a number of Fluval's but I have noticed the yellow button which is meant to go down when filter needs serviced isn't moving on one of my Fluval 2plus filters. It's in my 30g along with a Fluval 3plus.One filter at either end of the tank.I have a Fluval 2plus in my Betta tank and its working fine.
Any idea's on how to sort this or is it because I have my Fluval 3plus in as well. Its button is working fine as its going to need maintenance done on it soon.

I used to have a Fluval 2 plus and I noticed that occasionally the yellow button would get stuck as well, particularly if the pump itself is not completely under the water surface level, I think it's supposed to create some sort of vacum - that's what keeps it up and pulls it down again when the flow rate slows down to indicate cleaning of filter media is required.

Tinker with it and loosen it up and then immerse it again before switching on, that used to work for me. Otherwise maybe is faulty - it's essential though as long as you keep up with regular maintenance anyway smile.gif

I mean it's not an essential feature smile.gif

Thanks.I know its not an essential feature but it helps prevent me cleaning my filters more often than I should as I tend to do it every two weeks.Which on occasion is unecessary while on others it needs cleaned. The buttons help out a bit in that respect. smile.gif

Yeah, the clogging indicator is a useful feature of the Fluval plus range, one of the things I liked about mine. It's helps to stop the paranoia over filters clogging off! rolleyes.gif - also very useful feature if you keep live plants. Hope you get it sorted smile.gif
