Hey All

Ok my water test results always turn out perfect. Today i did a test before doing a water change and my test results were all over the place, now im worried,i just did a big water change.

Ok The things i did differently then any other time.

I medicated my tank about 3 weeks ago for fungus(frayed fins on my bubba)

then i had to add new filter cartlidges and threw out the old ones.

I cleaned out some guck that was where the water falls from the filter(didnt clean all the filter)

And i added new plants

Is there anything in that list that would be the cause of all this??

Here are my ratings

NITRATE: 4.0

PH : 7.5

HIGH RANGE PH: 7.7

AMMONIA: 0.0

NITRITE: 5.0

Im worried sad.gif hopefully with the water changes it will go down

unsure.gif What type of test kit are you using Hun?
What Meds did you use for the treatment?
Anytime you use Meds/ Change all filter media, clean any muck(it houses good bacteria),there's always a chance that you can bump your cycle. With the short time frame that you did these things,I'm thinking that's what happened here. blink.gif
For now,all you can do is continue with the water changes to get those number's lowered, and give the good bacteria a chance to build up again. It shouldn't take too long if this is an established tank and you didn't clean the whole filter out. biggrin.gif
