I have a four inch or so bristlnose pleco in my betta tank, I've had him since Oct. of 05 and he was tiny when I got him anyway lately I've noticed that his belly is getting lighter. Is that bad? He's healthy looking and acting otherwise. The params for the tank are 0 ammo 10 nitrates 0 nitirites and 7.5 ph. The only fish in the tank are him and the betta. Am I being a paranoid mamma? And if this helps I think he's a male he has a lot of bristles. Any input would be greatly apperciated.
