I went to the LFS yesterday to get some new fishies for my 10 gallon, it was sooo bare! I got some Platys! And they are sooo cute, but man they will not sit still for a photo yet! I took so many that the batteries litteraly died in my camera

So here are a few blurry ones! I have 3 Females and 1 Male. Talk about a lucky Guy

This first one is of the little one that died... I didn't even get to name her.



This next one is a little BULLY! She has been pushing around everyone in the tank, including the male one!



This is my little Pregnant Female



The tank from a Distance, the Orange one in the photo near the bottom is the little male. Im trying to think of names for all of them and I think I have one for the male. Then I am going to name all the little girls corrosponding to his name. He is either Jack the Ripper (the girls will be the victims) yeah I know its a little morbid but thats just how I am, OR "A Pimp named Slickback" From the Chapelle show and you have to say it like that "A Pimp Named Slickback" Not just Slickback because it will lose all meaning, then I will name the girls silly names like "Starla Night" or "Poll Dancing Patty" Or something goofy like that. Yeah I know.. I need help...


I don't have a picture of the new one. When the other one died I took it back to the store and got a new one, though it will not replace the bit of my heart that the other one had. I really liked that little spotted one, I picked her out special like I did the others. I hope this one is ok, she is MAJORLY Pregnant, like puffing out pregnant and her colors are beautiful, I might have a picture of her by tomorrow if I can get some new batteries. So I have 2 preggers fish, thats gonna be lotsa babies, I guess its time to set up my other 10 gallon tank

I love the tank and the fish are cuties!! Im sorry about the female dying though. I brought home 3 platies once and one died before I even got it home!

Congrats on the Platies.very pretty little fish. Is this tank allready cycled? If not,don't add any more fish to it,and keep a good eye on those water params. The names you've come up with are quite interesting,and I must say "Unique" Good luck with them.

I used to have my little moor in there but I switched him to the 20gal. I let the tank sit for a couple of weeks, doing water changes and such. I tested it and the water was fine to put them in. I think the little one that died was just a sickling. The others are doing fine, the male is staring at me while the females are hiding out behind the castle.

Names will be available soon, Im not doing the Jack the Ripper theme, hes to sweet.

If your wondering I LOVE The Beatles, I have for my whole life.
If you google the lyrics to thier names (or just remember the songs) they offer a perfict discription of each of their personalitys. It was going to be hard with the cerial killers after so many babies were born, and the pimp named slickback.. yeah it was funny but I could not get any girls names.
