I am just a beginner and I am planning to buy 2 red cap oranda...
I am wondering if a 10 gallons tank is enough for them?? Or is it too small???
I know that goldfishes are dirty and make lots of wastes...
But I don't mind to change some of the water everyday to keep it clean(as possible).
I will also add some plants to increase the oxygen in the water.
So is a 10 gallons tank be enough for them??

Hello and Welcome to Koko's!! smile.gif

It is recommended that you have 10 gallons per fancy goldfish, such as a red cap oranda. So if you want 2 of them, a 20 gallon tank would be the size to get. If you only have the room or money for a 10 gallon, just get one fish.

Thanks for your advice.
Maybe i should just wait until I get enough money to buy the 20gal tank then.
I don't want the goldie be alone by itself..~
By the way, what kind of fish(nice looking and long lasting) can I get for a 10gal tank?
And what is the max number of fishy I can put in?

if you just do a search on this site, there are a lot of topics dealing with how to make a nice tropical tank community in a ten gallon tank.

I've got a ten gallon tank at the moment with a betta and two mollies.
