just to give a little history i bought i small 3.5 gal tank and have my danios living in their cycling it for a betta.
bought some plants 2 weeks ago and have a gawk into the tank this morning and... i find a tiny snail sliding across the tank glass! BONUS!!! lol

while staring at it in amazement i noticed the danios looked like they were foraging for food. Kicking up little round things at the bottom and eating them (which i'm assuming are eggs!!!)

My question is when they're eating eggs like this should i be feeding them their normal food too or will their eggs be enough?

Q #2 is how the heck does one take care of a snail?!? i read that salting is bad for them so i won't be doing that to this tank anymore, any other words of wisdom?

If they're those small ones that suddenly appear in waves and seem to take over the tank then nothing. If it's an apple snail you should leave two to three inches of air at the top, because they need to come up for air. Also, snails like to eat plants but can eat almost anything, like fish flakes and cut up vegetables like lettuce.

yeah it's a small brown snail... so these are bad?
