I'm wanting to add some iodine to my fish medicine cabinet, but when I went to the store to buy it I was a little unsure about what type to get. The one that I was looking at was in a little bottle and was called "Iodine Tincture". It had a little poison skull and crossbones on it and that scared me.

Are there any ingredients I should watch out for or any specific brands that you guys have preferred? Also, is there anything that I have to worry about if I'm using it in an unfiltered environment?(like a betta tank) Thanks!!

Mercuroclear is what I use. its clear and its an iodine.... just need to get the tip of a q-tip wet with it and gently apply to the wound. do this for 3 days and this will help with any wond, just make sure that you dont get it in the gills nor the eyes.... biggrin.gif

Thank you, Koko. I went to a couple of stores and actually found that brand. It gives me peace of mind knowing that I have one that I know will be fish-safe. Thanks again smile.gif
