Its not as big as I would have liked but its a lot better than the old one I think this one is around 350 gallons, give or take a few. The old pond was only 100 gallons. I was beginning to think we were never going to get a bigger pond but a lfs near us bought out another petstore that was closing and had all the pond stuff from the other store 1/2 off, so we got a $600 kit for $300 bucks, filter and UV sterilizer included

My mom and I spent all day digging and scultping the hole for this thing. And she even fell in trying to put some rocks on the back part of it once it was full, once I was sure she was alright I about died laughing Anywho, heres some pics. We're nowhere near, a thunderstorm started rolling in just after we got the pump up and running. We've still got to get it to the end we want it in....I might have to jump in tomorrow to get it there. The goldies prolly won't be going in there for a few days, we've got to get everything all set for them.

The uploading is going veeeerrrrryyyyy slow tonight and I'm very tired...toiling all day in the sun when you're already not well really takes a toll on the body I promise I'll have more pics tomorrow

Nichole, the pond is GORGEOUS! I wish my mom would let me dig one in her yard, I live in an apartment. I may have to bribe her. I am so happy for you and for your lucky fish who get to live in such a beautiful place. When it is all ready and the fish are in you simply MUST get a lawn chair and a little table, wear a floppy sun hat and kick back with a glass of lemonade and enjoy your new pond!

Tonight we added pea gravel around the perimeter of the pond so imagine that theres nice pea gravel in the place of all that dirt

We've got 3.5 acres that we keep mowed down and looking nice and another 3.5 acres that we leave as a weed field for my dogs to play and pretend to hunt in. I've been trying to convince my dad to rent a back hoe and dig out a huge pond in our dogs area, I'd love to have a big pond with some bass and bluegills But he always says no
