As many of you know my comet has been having mouth opening problems.Despite all the meds now he cant eat.Tank has got perfect reading with regard nitrites,nitrates,GH,PH and KH .
I suspect he is now starving to death please help he's just turned 1 I dont want to lose him.

Also he can barely open his mouth when he comes up to surface.He's clear of fungus and any other common disease.I can't figure out whats wrong.I've also noticed the iris of his eyes is turning blue.

Now suspect he may have blockage or something in his mouth.HELP!!!!!!!

Have you looked into his mouth? There could be a rock caught in there.... It sounds like this might be the problem or he could have an ulceration in his mouth.

Can you gently hold him at the surface and take a good look inside? And post back soon..

Is there any way you can take a pic of his eye?

When you bring him to surface he doesnt open his mouth at all like most fish would.
Looking closely his mouth on outside is clear of anything.Tried to open his mouth but he started getting too stressed so had to return him to tank.I thought I had lost him through shock as he had gone over on his side but his gills where still moving.After putting an airline near him it helped him recover.This morning I have seen him open his mouth once without any problem.He's still sitting at bottom of tank alot but has been looking for food so I've put some in.I've also noticed his eyes not so blue now.I think you may be right and he has an ulcer or something in his mouth.keep you posted JenW.
I'll try take pick of his eye but he sits on bottom at back of the tank.
