As some of you know we are moving friday and i have the tanks to move over at the weekend.
I took a sample of water at the new house and its very low on the ph scale.
At this house its a ph of 7.4 with the gh being 7 and the kh being roughly at 4.

The new house has a ph less than 6 and could be around 5.5, will need to get a ph test that goes low.
The gh is at 6 and the kh reads around 0.

Just as well i keep tropicals really otherwise goldies would hate it.

So what i am going to do is slowly add the water from the tap into the big bins they are travelling in so they get used to the drop.

Can anyone tell me if this low a ph and kh will be a problem?

With a kH level of 0, adding any acid to the water will cause a very rapid PH drop. Even the nitrification process of the minimal waste from your tropical fish could cause a PH drop. Adding a little baking soda will help stabilize the water.

Adding some sodium bicarbonate is much better than having a whole tank full of fish... See the dawn.
