It's my birthday in a few weeks and my bro has got me a new betta. He’s currently living in a 1.5 - 2gal rose bowl. He’s a lovely deep cobalt blue crown tail with red tips. I’m actually amazed that my bro would buy, let alone find such a fantastic looking fish!

I'm having a really hard time thinking of a name for the little guy. My other betta (Tora) was easy to name, but this one is looking as though he's going to be harder to pick a name for. Already I can tell he's going to be a little piggy and he's a tough little guy, he lives up to the fighting part of his name cos he’s even flared at me!

I’ll try to get some pic of him up soon but my digi cam died on me a few weeks back so I think it might have to be the old film and scan pics…*sigh*

Hi Peanut, thanks for asking about Basil - well we're doing fine I think, it's taken a while to recover, he got a secondary fungal infection on one of his pectoral fins but to be honest he's never really been ill, very active, eating lots! Just waiting for some regrowth on his anal fin now. I upgraded his tank last week to a 8gal and I've planted Jav ferns at the moment, he loves his new home and so do I! I hope to post some pics soon (when I have a camera and If I can figure it out...)
