We have a ten gallon that we are dividing for our 2 male bettas , and were wondering what filter would be good for them.

My favorite is the aquaclear

It has lots of room for cycle holding bacteria, and is powerful, but it has an adjustable flow rate. Bettas don't like a lot of agitation in the water so this will come in handy. Make sure you leave a couple inches off the top and that the divider reaches the hood so the bettas are less likely to jump across the border. If you can, place the filter right next to the divider to maximize the water flow to the other side.

Look for flow control. You don't want a really strong filter, you will end up hurting your betta. I would go for something that will do about 90 GHP with a flow control knob for a ten gallon.

I just did some research and the smallest filter they carry is the Mini/20 model and that does 100gph. That's probably a little high for bettas, but it does have an adjustable flow rate so you can drastically reduce the water flow. I have a couple 150gph (the next size up) on 2 ten gallons with tropicals. I leave it on full power, but on the lowest setting it would probably be okay for a betta so I don't see why the mini wouldn't be fine. When it comes down to it, most small HOB filters will work fine. Since you are only stocking 2 fish you don't have to worry much about the amount of media.
The aquaclears are available at both Petco and Petsmart.

I just got a little HOB made by Whisper. I got the 10, it does 90 GPH, has flow control, and they now come with a little biosponge for the BB to grow on. Apparantly Whipser is putting flow control on most of their new stuff, and they are including the BioFoam, which is great. I have always like Whispers for small tanks and this only makes them better. Here is the link were I got mine.
