my hozelock titan 3000 pump has just arrived, and now i'm a bit confused as it appears only to have an outlet attatchment, as the whole surface area of the pump is where it draws the water in through. the problem is that i want to attatch a skimmer and surely a need a inlet attatchement for a hose to suck the water in through the skimmer? Is there a pump that both sucks and pumps of is it necessary to have two seperate pumps one to run the filter and the other (if it is possible) to suck water in through the skimmer?

i haven't bought the skimmer yet and i can easily sell the pump on if i've purchased the wrong thing!

okay, i have sine found an oase pump that has two inlet attatchments and one outlet so problem solved!

You could set the pump in the skimmer box, that is what I did when I used a submersable pump.
