I am not new to the hobby but I am new to goldfish, I've had a treo for about 8 months, 1 girl 2 boys. They decided to get it on, and now I got fry. When I noticed the eggs (everywhere) the goldfish where already decimateing them, so I took 2 rocks with the most eggs and placed them in a 2.5 gal tank. Not knowing what I was doing, I used substrate from my Oscar tank and a plant. In about 3 days the eggs hatched and It's been another 3 days since. The fry are free swimming horizontaly and eating "Hikari tropic FIRST BITES" and seem to be groweing and thriveing. The water temp is about 74*f. Via a lamp above the tank, and I have a small bubble powered HOB with nylon around the intake for filtration. I've been reading up on raising fry a bit , and I noticed that most recomend that I keep a bare bottom. I was wandering...should I remove the rocks that the eggs traveled in on, and the substrate, and if so how do I best acomplish this?? Any coments would be greatly apreciated.

It's comet and it sure has a nice luster to its scales, almost metallic.

I think the dad is very pretty (and sorry if its too girly to call him that). I adore comets and commons, and he looks so healthy. Congrats! And please post more pics if you can. I love pics of commons.
