i went to my lfs (a big chain petstore) and they had about 5 plants and the assistant said they didnt know what a java fern was so i was quite disappointed. then i went to another aquarium store and they had loads of different plants and i got a java fern! yay

looks really good in my newly designed tank. will post pics asap!

ps they had the most beautiful blue and black betta, i was so tempted to get it. was amazing colour. but i must wait 2 more months!!!

Anyway, plant people out there i have a question: my fern has lots of little brown stringy bits coming off the leaves. is this normal? what is it?
