Full Version: New Samll Tank Only For Plants

Dear All,
i have setup a tank only for plants that dosent have any fish in it, actually my brother went to Bankok and he bought me these two woods with huge anubias plants attach to it. now i need the information how to take care of plants the tank size is 1.5 feet with few big rooks and a lil air shower in it... the place where i kept this tank is well lited with sunlight but no direct sunlite to the tank. i also have place a lite bulb on top of the tank to give them a bit of lite... do i need to put anything for the plants to grow fast any other idea please help.

With only a light bulb and aeration to dissolve out the CO2 from the water, the plants won't grow fast at all. Light and carbon (dioxide) are two of plants' major requirements, so if you restrict one or both you will also restrict growth.

You may have a problem with algae growing faster than the plants themselves and covering the leaves, but again that depends on the amount of light.

Thanks Rafaqat. smile.gif Tthey are indeed my fish, thanks for asking. The four on the right are just babies I got last week though. They have plenty of growing to do!
