Congratulations awrieger! I used the metal part of an algae scrubber to move them, but I hear you can use a credit card or something else like that. I was quite scared i was going to damage them, but they are quite tough after a while so they should be fine biggrin.gif They are really sticky.. I thin kafter a few I found it was easier to roll them onto my fingers and then move them and roll them back onto something else. They roll easier than fall.

My guys are doing ok.. Me being stupid me ended up with them very overstocked in a 5 and 6 gallon and had water quality issues and they started dying. But ive put that right now, I'm left with about 14 in an 18 gallon tub. (it became empty after QTing pond fish) so hopefully they can grow nice and big in there and will be rehomed soon. smile.gif
I do feel really bad about how stupid i was thinking they would be ok in such a small tank. I ended up doing water changes every day for however long its been. Next time I breed anything I'll only raise a few eggs instead of 200.

Thanks Lucy. That's the same problem I'm going to have if they all hatch too. Too many fish!

Thanks for the tips. I decided to move the eggs before you could reply so I came up with a different approach, and yep you're right that they sure are sticky! I used a length of airline tubing to sort of gently (as I could) scrape them off with the end of the tube, while it was siphoning at the same time into a glass bowl. So as they came loose they went straight up the tube into the bowl. It still felt like I was really hurting them as I was trying to scrape them loose though, so I'm not too positive now about them hatching. Maybe I should have just used my fingers like you did. Oh well, I'll find out in a few days I guess! smile.gif

That sounds like a better way than the scraping, they eggs kept flying all over the place as I had to be quite harsh to actually get them off the glass!
