I recently got two dojos and I just LOVE them!!! They are so fun to watch. I spend a lot of time just watching them. One of them especially is friendly and ever on the move. They eat the Pro Gold and shrimp pellets that my goldies eat but sometimes they act like they are starving to death so I give them a small shrimp pellet snack. How often should these guys be fed? I usually give them and the goldies their morning feeding then they get the snack in the evening. Am I feeding them too much or not enough?? I thank you for any help you can give me.

I feed my 4 adults and several babies the same time I feed the goldies. Goldies get fed every morning and evening and a little in the afternoon on my days off smile.gif The goldfish get as much as they can eat within 5 minutes, so the dojos get the same amount of feeding time too.

My guys are nice and fat, so they must be getting enough to eat laugh.gif

I, too, feed my dojos in the morning and in the late afternoon and they have gotten huge! They defend their pellets from the goldfish very vigorously, too laugh.gif

Can the dojos eat the hard Pro Gold pellets? I watch them and it seems hard for them to eat. If I soak them first I'm sure the goldies would get to them before the dojos would. They do love the peas I gave them. What do you feed your dojos for their everyday food?

I feed Progold as my staple food and the dojos seem to do well with it. I don't soak it first. The dojos seem to be able to eat the progold without difficulty.

I also feed other sinking pellets such as spirulina (which I do soak) and shrimp pellets. My dojos also love peas and blanched zucchini.
