iain123
30 litres why? there best not be something wrong sad.gif
tinkerbell
6.6 imperial gallons.

iain123
yeh im sure its 8 us gallons 30 litres. does it look to small ???
tinkerbell
well pictures can be misconceiving smile.gif
30litres is 7.93 US gals, so just under 8g smile.gif
iain123
yeh i know i cant wait to get some good pictures! sorry but on the box it says 8 so i went with that! i didnt use a converter thing as i didnt think i needed to. is that still ok for 4 white clouds which are just under an inch each ? smile.gif
tinkerbell
yes Iain, that'll be fine smile.gif you can also still get your betta in there too smile.gif
white clowds will grow to about 1.5" long, and prefer slightly cooler temps that tropicals, so is ideal for a betta too smile.gif
iain123
yes! biggrin.gif thats is ecactly what i wanted to hear! im so glad som many people on here were willing to help! oh yeh one question about my minnows are there any easy ways to tell apart males and females i was just wondering! dont worry if you dont know as i could probably find it on one of many sites i added to my faveourites about minnnows! iain
tinkerbell
males are thinner and more brightly coloured and their red is much more intense the female on the other hand has a rounder stomach. Males will display against other males and to females by erecting their fins and wiggling smile.gif
iain123
thanks! i cant wait to see them showing off biggrin.gif ! i think i have atleast one male.

When you get your betta, he will love all the plants! They like to lurk and hide. peepwallA.gif
iain123
i thought he might! biggrin.gif i heard they like to hide in between them and stuff so i got some big ones to put at the back! the minnows like to go there aswell so i might need some more at the side so they can share nicely! lol biggrin.gif
tinkerbell
im sure your betta will love that smile.gif
iain123
good good biggrin.gif im thinkin (already) of getting a red one to go with some of the plants anybodys preferances on colours or what they think would go well with my tank? check out sig too see a pic of it. iain

I don't believe that we own animals, I think they own us. I usually go to the LFS and peep at the little glasses. When I see one that 'speaks' to me, I take him home. I know that he/she ist he one that wanted me. You will know when you find the betta for you. biggrin.gif
iain123
blink.gif lol dat was umm moving in a way! i think your right though ill probably just 'click' with one and then know i want it! theres so much more to fish keeping than a a goldie in a bowl!!! biggrin.gif

Too right! And the sooner more people realise that, the better off the hobby will be. I wish we could get that printed off and posted in every fish store and pet shop in the world. biggrin.gif
